Happiness at work - lessons from Google

Wednesday, 30 January 2008

Google has once again topped the list in Fortune Magazine's "Best Companies to Work For". In an interview with Google's founders, Larry Page and Eric Schmidt, the journalist asked whether it was possible to "treat employees too well". In response, Page effectively said "no", noting that "happy people are more productive". It's hard to argue with an organisation that's been so successful in so many ways (including numerous nominations and prizes for best employer status). More proof that happiness at work is advantageous in so many ways.
